LEED TM
M&F has continued with the bi-weekly internal meetings to discuss effective
ways to implement the plan to achieve maximum LEED points. The focus remains
on tracking and documenting recycled content, solid waste management, local
and regional material, and low VOC materials. In particular, test reports for
interior materials must be received from the subcontractors as part of the IAQ
credits related to construction activities. M&F is in contact with the various
subcontractors that are currently on the project to ensure their compliance
with LEED criteria. Currently, M&F is tracking the building at 31 points,
which are two short of the 33 necessary to achieve a Silver certification.
The LEED coordination team is focusing on these items to determine the course
of action necessary to redeem their contribution to the LEED certification total.
The team is also studying all certification items for potential submittal and
possible acceptance to maximize the number of achievable points. Please refer
to the LEED update report prepared by KMI Associates (EXHIBIT B) for the current
LEED issues. Please refer to EXHIBIT C for the current LEED score-sheet for
the project.
